Our positions are part-time with flexible hours, making it easier for individuals to work around their own schedules, such as children’s school hours.
Staffing Coordinators will build a case load of hours that fit your needs. Caregivers may work as little as 10 hours per week or up to 40 hours per week. Schedules can vary from day to day or week to week depending on your availability and consumers’ needs. Staffing Coordinators strive to maintain as much consistency for caregivers as possible and will consider caregiver availability when consumers’ schedules change.
Home Care for Maine consumers require assistance for an average of three hours per day. Shifts may run from two to twelve hours during the day, over weekends, at night, or in the morning.
To help our caregivers get the most out of caregiving, the Staffing Coordinators at Home Care for Maine take the following factors into consideration when matching caregivers with consumers:
- Personality and interest compatibility
- Level of training and type of care required
- Schedule and availability
- Proximity to consumer’s home
Many of our caregivers develop long-term, satisfying relationships with consumers, and get a great deal of satisfaction from helping people in their own communities.
In addition, Home Care for Maine provides extensive training and offers Personal Support Specialist Certification to uncertified employees within six months of employment.
