We appreciate your interest in a part-time position with Home Care for Maine. We are a non-profit agency. We provide personal care and homemaking services throughout the state. We provide this help to male and female elderly and disabled adults so they may stay in their own homes -where they want to be and feel the most comfortable.

Our Direct Care Workers (DCW) provide Personal Care and Homemaking services. Personal care services include helping consumers in their own homes with bathing, dressing, and toileting and other personal needs. Most consumers also require help with housekeeping, errands, and transportation to appointments. Each consumer has a service plan provided that lists all items that need to be done. This is your job description for each consumer you serve.
When hired we request the exact days and times of the week that you are available to work so we can match you with consumers who need care at these times. Our schedulers will work to schedule cases within the times you have committed to being able to work. You will have a set schedule to go by each week as your caseload builds. We may also ask you to do fill-ins on occasion to help cover times when other workers are off. Visits to consumer’s homes may be one (1) hour in length up to four (4) or more hours depending on the consumer’s needs. You may go once a week to a consumer or you may go several days in a week.
The work you will do if hired by Home Care for Maine is very important to our consumers. Home Care for Maine hires only the most dependable, skilled and caring people.
